Preview your site with temporary domain access

Preview a shared hosting site on the server before you change DNS or nameservers.

Many customers want to install and test a website on CR Servers before pointing the live domain away from their previous host.

Temporary URL pattern

Use this URL in your browser (HTTP is enough for a quick check):

http://SERVER-IP/~USERNAME

SERVER-IP — the shared hosting IP shown on your service page in the client area (or in the welcome email).
USERNAME — the Unix / panel username for the hosting account (not your client-area email login).

Example: if the IP is 201.x.x.x and the username is mysite, open http://201.x.x.x/~mysite.

Upload or install the site in the hosting control panel first.
Confirm the temporary URL loads before you change nameservers or A records.
When ready, point your domain (or update DNS for international domains) and retest over HTTPS.

If the temporary URL fails, confirm the username and IP, then open a ticket.
