Create email aliases (forwarders)
Forward an address on your domain to another mailbox without creating a full mailbox quota.
An alias (forwarder) is an address on your domain that delivers into another inbox. It is not a mailbox with its own password or quota.
| Mailbox | Alias | |
|---|---|---|
| Login / IMAP | Yes | No — nothing to open in Outlook |
| Stores mail | Yes, on our mail servers | No — copies or redirects to the target |
| Typical use | you@your-domain |
info@ or sales@ → a real mailbox |
This article is for mail that still uses CR Servers mailboxes. If Google Workspace handles mail, use Google Mail as your mail server instead — do not create panel aliases that fight Google’s MX.
Create an alias
- Open the hosting control panel from the client area.
- Open Email → aliases / forwarders.
- Enter the local part (
info) and the domain. - Set the destination: another address on this domain, or an external inbox you control.
- Save. Send a test to the alias and confirm it arrives at the target.
Mail lands in the destination mailbox. Read it with IMAP / POP3 or Outlook on that mailbox — not on the alias name.
Delete an alias
Remove forwarders you no longer want so mail to that address bounces (or stops copying). Deleting an alias does not delete the destination mailbox.
Open a ticket if tests never arrive — include the alias, the destination, and when you sent the test.
