Remote hands and colocation access
What on-site remote hands means for colocation at CR Servers, and how to request a specific task.
Colocation places your equipment in rack space we lease in Costa Rica’s primary telecom carrier facility. We operate our own equipment there and coordinate work on yours. The facility operator provides building power, physical security, and carrier connectivity.
Remote hands means a person at the rack doing one task you describe — for example a power cycle, checking an indicator, or reseating a cable. It is not a standing on-site engineer, and we do not publish a response-time guarantee for it.
How to request it
- Open a ticket from the client area so the request stays with your service.
- Name the server or rack item, the task, and what “done” looks like.
- Say whether the machine is in production.
When someone can be at the rack
Scheduled remote hands run during primary human support: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Costa Rica time. Remote technical help by ticket or phone is available 24/7 for production issues. After-hours emergency dispatch at the facility is available, but it is slower.
Physical access to the facility is arranged with us. It is not a walk-in visit. If you are asking about a new colocation installation, use the contact form.
