How to change your PHP version

Select a PHP version for your shared hosting site from the hosting control panel.

Shared hosting runs PHP through the hosting control panel. Pick a supported version that matches your CMS or app (WordPress and many plugins need a current PHP release). Changing PHP can briefly restart PHP-FPM for your account — schedule the change outside peak traffic if the site is busy. Shared hosting lets you choose a supported PHP version per site.

Change PHP in the hosting control panel

Log in to the hosting control panel from the client area service page.
Open the PHP / language runtime settings for the domain.
Select a supported version and save.
Retest the site; clear any application caches if you use a CMS.

If an extension your app needs is missing, open a ticket with the domain and required modules.
