Request a cancellation

You can request the cancellation of any service from the client area yourself. You choose whether it ends at the end of the period you already paid for or right away.

Before you cancel

• Back up your data. Once a service is terminated, its files, databases, email and VPS disks are deleted. Download everything you want to keep first (hosting backups).
• Check your domain. Canceling hosting doesn't cancel a domain registered with us, and canceling a domain doesn't cancel the hosting. If you are moving the domain to another registrar, get its EPP code first (how).
• Not sure? If you only need a smaller or bigger plan, Upgrade in the service's ⋮ menu may suit you better. You can also open a ticket and we will help you decide.

Cancel a service

1. Sign in at clients.crservers.com.
2. In the sidebar, under Your services, click the type of service (for example Web Hosting or Virtual Private Servers).
3. Click the ⋮ button next to the service and choose Request Cancellation.

You can also start from the service page:

• Web hosting and most services: click Manage. At the end of Service Details, the Cancel service card has a Request Cancellation button.
• VPS: click Manage, then More (⋮) at the top right of Server details → Cancel VPS.

Fill in the cancellation request

1. Under Please briefly describe your reason for cancellation, tell us why you are leaving. It helps us improve.
2. Choose the Cancellation Type:
   • End of Billing Period: the service keeps working until its renewal date and isn't renewed.
   • Immediate: the service is terminated as soon as we process the request.
3. Click Request Cancellation.
4. A window asks you to confirm. Type the service name shown there (or click the copy button next to it) and click Request Cancellation again.

If the service has an unpaid renewal invoice, canceling removes that charge from the invoice.

Cancel a domain

1. In the sidebar, click Domains.
2. Click ⋮ next to the domain and choose Request Cancellation, or open the domain and use the Request Cancellation tab.
3. Write the reason, then confirm by typing the domain name.

Domains are canceled at the end of the billing period: the domain isn't renewed. If your website or email depend on it, they stop working when it expires.

After you send it

You see a confirmation, and we process the request. If you sent it by mistake, open a ticket or call us right away so we can stop it before the service is terminated.
