Create email filters
Add mailbox filters in the hosting control panel so matching messages move, copy, or discard before you open the inbox.
A filter is a rule on a mailbox: if the subject or sender matches, move, copy, or discard the message. It is not the same as server spam filtering. An alias has no filters — put the rule on the destination mailbox.
This article is for mail that still uses CR Servers mailboxes. If Google Workspace handles mail, create filters there — not in this panel.
Create a filter
- Open the hosting control panel from the client area.
- Open Email → filters.
- Choose the mailbox.
- Set the match (from, subject, or another field the panel shows) and the action (folder, copy, or discard).
- Save. Send a test that matches and confirm where it landed.
Start with move to a folder while you test. Discard is hard to undo.
Change or delete
Edit or remove filters from the same list. Too many overlapping rules can hide mail you still need.
Open a ticket if a filter never fires — include the mailbox, the rule, and a sample subject.
