Set up email autoresponders
Turn on an automatic reply for a mailbox, set the message and schedule if the panel shows one, and turn it off when you are back.
An autoresponder sends a fixed reply when mail arrives at a mailbox. It does not create a login. An alias has no autoresponder of its own — attach the reply to the destination mailbox.
This article is for mail that still uses CR Servers mailboxes. If Google Workspace handles mail, set vacation replies in Google — do not add a panel autoresponder that fights Google’s MX.
Create an autoresponder
- Open the hosting control panel from the client area.
- Open Email → autoresponders / automatic replies.
- Choose the mailbox (or local part + domain).
- Write the subject and body. If the panel shows a start/end date, set it.
- Save. Send a test from an outside address and confirm the reply.
Read incoming mail as usual in webmail or IMAP. The autoresponder does not store a second copy.
Turn it off
Edit or delete the autoresponder when you no longer want automatic replies. Leaving it on after you return sends outdated messages.
Open a ticket if tests never get a reply — include the mailbox and when you sent the test.
