Edit MX records for your domain
Change MX records in the hosting DNS so mail is delivered to CR Servers mailboxes or to another provider such as Google Workspace.
MX records tell the internet which servers accept mail for your domain. Wrong MX is the usual reason new mailboxes never receive mail.
This only applies if the domain uses our nameservers. If DNS is elsewhere, edit MX at that provider — see point a domain to CR Servers.
Edit MX in the panel
- Open the hosting control panel from the client area.
- Open DNS (or Email → MX) for that domain.
- Change the MX host and priority the panel lists. Keep a note of the old values.
- Save. Allow time for DNS to propagate before you test.
For CR Servers mailboxes, use the MX values the panel shows for this account — do not invent a hostname.
For Google Workspace, follow Google Mail as your mail server. Do not leave our mailbox MX in place next to Google’s — pick one mail system.
After MX is correct, publish SPF and DKIM for the provider that actually sends.
Open a ticket if mail still misses after propagation — include the domain and a current MX lookup.
